So many people have low self-esteem because they are embarrassed of their smile. It doesn’t matter if their teeth are crooked, they have an underbite, overbite, or they are missing a few teeth, they can still get traditional braces and fix these common jaw problems. The thing is, not everyone wants to walk around with a mouth full of metal, and brushing your teeth with braces can be a real hassle. This is why people opt out of braces and get Invisalign. If you are interested in getting Invisalign, especially invisalign hamilton oh, here are a few pros and cons of getting the treatment done.

With traditional braces, you keep them in your mouth 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Invisalign is special because you only need to wear them 22 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can take Invisalign out your mouth to eat and brush your teeth. Another great benefit of using Invisalign is comfort and flexibility. While Invisalign will feel tight and uncomfortable during the first few weeks you wear them, you don’t have to worry about wire cutting your gums, monthly tightening appointments and constant headaches traditional braces bring.

There are some drawbacks and disadvantages of Invisalign, Invisalign is much more expensive than traditional braces. The cost of Invisalign ranges from three thousand dollars to eight thousand dollars, and in some extreme cases more than that. In other words, if you are struggling financially or you are already tied up by your current bills, for the sake of your sanity, Invisalign isn’t for you. In addition to this, you need to take Invisalign out of your mouth for every meal, and you need to brush your teeth before putting them back in, otherwise they’ll get strained and start looking run-down. Depending on what kind of person you are, this may or may not brother you. Invisalign can get strained, run- down, and dingy regardless of how well you care for them. Make sure to clean Invisalign every few days, use water and a VERY small amount of bleach to freshen them up. A lot of attachments are used with Invisalign so it can stick to the ridges in your enamel to improve the shape and fit of the product. Unfortunately, these attachments can make Invisalign more noticeable even if they are colorless.

Invisalign is a great product and has a variety of benefits and drawbacks depending on the person using it. With Invisalign, your treatment process is faster and you don’t have to visit your dentist office monthly to get them tightened, having wire cutting your gums, or food getting trapped in between your teeth. But Invisalign is more expensive, and you must take the product out of your mouth every time you eat and brush your teeth which can cause some embarrassment if you are in public.
